  • American Compressed Gases (ACG) Contract Ratified

    Local 812 members at ACG have ratified a new 5-year contract, with no givebacks. 

    The union’s bargaining committee negotiated annual raises and full funding to maintain health benefits with no additional costs to members.

  • 812 Members at Liberty Coca-Cola Ratify Contract

    A solid majority of Local 812 Coca-Cola members voted to ratify a new contract.  This follows member approval of new contracts at Pepsi-Cola NY and Pepsi-Cola Long Island.

    Each contract upholds the high standards established by Local 812.  The agreements negotiated by the respective Union Contract Negotiation Committees preserve benefits for all members, include wage increases, and have no give backs. ...

  • Healthcare Worth Fighting For

    812HealthFundLogoAcross the U.S.,  healthcare costs have been rising rapidly and are projected to continue growing.  It’s no surprise that medical coverage is a top issue in contract negotiations.  Local 812 is no exception.  
     
    As costs rise, most American workers pay a greater share of the costs through higher deductibles, co-pays and co-insurance.  In many cases, these higher employee costs negate any wage gains.  Many families have also lost entire categories of benefits, such as dental, vision and hearing, as well as retiree benefits.

    But not Local 812 members.

  • Clare Rose, 5 Boro Members Ratify Contracts

    ClareRose 2025 Ratification detLocal 812 members employed by Clare Rose and 5 Boro brought in 2026 with solid new 3-year contracts. 

    The respective contracts were ratified by wide margins.  Each includes annual raises; retirement increases and no givebacks.

    Clare Rose workers negotiated a contract that maintains current 812 Health Fund benefits with no additional costs to members and their families.

  • KDP/Snapple Members Win New Contract

    snapple bottlesBy a large margin, workers at KDP Snapple approved a new three-year contract. 

    The Local 812 Negotiation Committee fought to preserve current benefits with no additional costs to members. 

    Under the new deal, the company will increase contributions to both the Local 812 Health Fund and to the 401(k) plan.  In addition to annual wage increases, the contract will expand vacation pick options.

  • IBT Officer Elections 2026

    Convention delegates re-elected General President O’Brien and Secretary-Treasurer Zuckerman. 

    With no opposition receiving enough votes, the entire OZ slate for Executive Board won five-year terms.

  • College Scholarships

    scholarship1Local 812 family members are eligible for Teamster college scholarships.  Local 812 Scholarship applications are available for the 2026-27 academic year.  The deadline is March 1.

    Applications to the Teamsters International Scholarship are due April 1.

  • ACG, Bett-a-Way Members Ratify 5-Year Contracts

    cba graphBy overwhelming margins, Local 812 members working at American Compressed Gases and Bett-a-Way Trucking have approved new contract agreements. 

    The union negotiation committees won annual raises, increased paid leave and retro-active pay. 

    There are no give backs. Both deals preserve union health benefits and all members will now participate in the Local 812 Annuity/401(K) retirement fund.
